The California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy will be a multi-disciplinary research center that harnesses the potential and accelerates the enormous health and economic benefits of immunology and immunotherapy. The Institute is being developed in partnership with world-renowned scientists, academics, doctors, universities, business executives, government officials, and community leaders. Located adjacent to the UCLA Medical Center on the UCLA campus, CIII will be a global research hub that reinforces California’s stature as the unquestioned leader in biotechnology while dramatically expanding the career pipeline for students in these emerging fields. Located in Los Angeles, the Institute will have access to one of the largest, most diverse patient populations in the world. The State of California is supporting its creation with a $500 million appropriation. Once constructed, CIII will be a “Field of Dreams” that will attract the very best scientists from around the world dedicated to making extraordinary strides in advancing human health.
