Michelson Found Animals Foundation CEO Brett Yates recently appeared on the Wallis Annenberg Petspace Podcast. In the episode, Yates reflects on his journey into the field of animal welfare and describes initiatives the foundation is working on, including the Michelson Institute for Pet Professions, a career development program for roles in the pet care industry; and the ongoing support for research into an effective non-surgical sterilant.
Yates also highlights the impact of the foundation’s Pet Wellness Days, where people can come for free pet food and low-cost veterinary, hygiene, and wellness care for their dogs and cats. The community events define Michelson Found Animals Foundation’s mission to keep people and their pets together.
“Sometimes life throws curveballs,” Yates says. “Being able to provide food means a cat gets to stay in the house, or a dog gets to stay on the couch.”
